Are you ready for some serious fun? Mark your calendars for February 12 to 14, 2010 for the 2nd Annual Steinhatchee Fiddler Crab Festival in beautiful Steinhatchee on Florida's Big Bend.
The festival will kick off Friday Night, February 12th with a live, free concert and jam session in the park.
On Saturday experience Fiddler Crab Races, Parade (10am), Duck Derby, Kid's Activities, Eco River Boat Tours, Car/Boat show and many more fun-filled events. Crafts and food vendors can be found throughout the festival.
Be sure to check out the Swamp Water One Pot Cook-off. We will have three categories, Soup, Stew and Chili. Entry fee to participate in this event is $30.00 and will have 1st place winners in each category with an over all best winner. Commemorative Mugs can be purchased for tasting.
More to do. Come on down to River Haven Marina and Motel on the Steinhatchee River at 5pm Saturday to attend a mandatory captain's meeting for the Lots of Spots Fishing Contest.
On Sunday, February 14 grab your sweetheart and participate in the Lots of Spots Fishing Contest. The legal-sized Redfish with the most spots wins! Time is safe light to 3pm. Entry fee is $10 per angler.
First Prize is a tackle box, rod/reel combo valued at $350 provided by our sponsors:
